Before start all boats are required to line up at the area North of "Langebro" bridge, where the boats will be called to start.

From start at "Nykredit" building the boats will row South under the "Bryggebroen" bridge towards ‘Slusen/the Lock’ along the Zealand (West) side of the harbour.

At ’Slusen/the Lock’ the boats makes a large 180° U-turn dictated by three buoys and return North toward the finish line along the ‘Amager’ (East) side of the harbour.

The total distance is 6.5 Km.

Navigation - Shallow areas in the Harbour
Along the course there are three very shallow areas. It is very important that the crew and especially the cox know where those areas are located. This applies for coaches as well who wish to follow the crew during warm up. Please study the three areas on the photoes below (Click to enlarge).
